The clip was released late yesterday at a press presentation at our centre in Beau Bassin.

No delirious scenario, No spectacular sound effects but Natural, Colourful, Lovely pictures and scenery of deep Mauritius. Together with a scenario depicting Christmas eve and the d Day.

With wonderful natural acting from the two youngest members of Group ABAIM - Levy (10) and Megane (9) here posing with co- film directors Denis Essoo, Philippe de Magnée .

Between two shootings, a nice cup of tea at Juliette's house in Cité Barkly.

Komal Gujadhur, representant of SBM happily launches the album on he 21st of October last.


For a recap of how it all started...
Last year, we were invited by SBM, our main Sponsor, to perform on the 24th December, in the lobby of their head office in Port Louis. That was a bit weird... Group ABAIM has no song of its own that could fit in for this occasion. We looked at the Mauritian discography and could not find anything interesting, well anything at all.

We decided then to adapt some well known standards, like Jingle Bells, Rudolph the red nose reindeer....

We had fun singing those in Port Louis, in Mapou @ l'Ecole du Centre where some 800 children

gathered in the gymnasium for a memorable time, in Flic en Flac @ La Pirogue for a nice mix of English, French, Dutch and Mauritians...

People were asking to buy this music.

We had no choice.

Group Abaim composed 3 songs of it's own and decided to record a special Mauritian Christmas' songs album....
Enn Nwel Larkansyel was on the track..

Thank you SBM for unconsciously started it all..

Le décor était planté pour une soirée inoubliable, hier. Kelly, notre maitresse de cérémonie règle quelques details avec notre Présidente Esthel, alors que Charles, percussioniste non-voyant du group, s'imprégne déjà de l'ambiance prévalente. Il était moins 30 minutes...
